Interrupt The Spiral And Stop The Cycle

As we think about all that’s going on in the world, and with the people and places around us, it’s easy to get lost in or be physically drained by emotional or political battles, news and social media feeds, daily responsibilities, unhealthy relationships with people or things, feelings of loneliness, fear of the unknown, or the busyness of our everyday lives. In those instances, we rarely recognize what’s happening and if and when we do, we don’t know how to “stop spiraling”. We become less motivated and productive, more stressed and exhausted, and the negative thoughts and talk runs rampant, and the cycle repeats itself.

But wait. You can interrupt the spiral and stop the cycle. Pause, and ask yourself what do I want to change right now, or what do I desire in this moment? Wait for an answer. Write it down and begin to consider how you might go about getting what you desire in this moment, or how you might make the changes you’d like to see.
